Operation Flashpoint 2 (Codemasters Guildford)

In May 2008 I joined Codemasters Guildford Studio as a Senior Artist to work on the visual effects for Operation Flashpoint 2.
Where with the other members of the effects team we developed the in-house visual effects tools which were to be used in creating the in-game effects.
Work then started on pre-visualising how the major effects would look and feel using software such as Maya or 3DStudio Max. This also included creating concept work such as how effects will look under night and heat vision and also the preparation of reference documents.
Once the preliminary work was done and we got into full production, I helped to create many of the games weapon, bullet impact, explosion, ambient, environmental and vehicle effects.
